The Rocket Bass models (B-100R and B-50R) are the contemporary counterparts to the Portaflex. Still the same warm tone and simplistic controls but using solid state technology for light weight and maintenance-free reliability. The 100-watt B-100R is equipped with a custom-designed vintage 15' and the baby brother 50-watt B-50R employs a vintage 12' driver.

As good if not better than my old early 70's Potaflex. Puts the 'low' in the 'low down'. You would have to spend twice as much on any other quality amp just to get a comparable sound. I have been playing Bass for over 30 yrs and I gig with this amp at least twice a week. My recommendation is to get the casters! It's heavy but that just adds to the tonality
