I'm selling my Blues Jr. The Reverberocket blasts it off this planet. This combo amp has the classic Ampeg look of dark blue checkered vinyl which took me back to my early days of rock n' roll. Ah, sweet memories that were instantly reinforced the minute I fired this baby up. The reverb is smooth and you can push it to the limit without the sound degredation that I get with my DeLuxe RV(3 is about max). If slow dancing or Jazz ain't your thing, then switch to the pre-amp channel and make your ears bleed. The amp's overdrive is adjustable to just a little with chording to rain-coast grung. It is a simple A/B amp...3 pre-amp 12ax7's and 2 power amp 6L6's. Tone controls are treble, mid, bass. There is a volume(gain) for the OD section with a master volume which only affects the overdrive and another volume control for the clean section. The amp also has a -6dB input labeled accordian and a guitar input @ 0dB. There is also an effects loop. The speaker is an "Ampeg" generic and sounds a little too thin for my ears but it probably needs to be broken in. This is a great practice, recording, and giging amp and is deffinately loud enough to be used in a small club. Ampeg amps had that after mid-night sound and this one carries on that tradition. Rock-on....Uglybro

Fantastic. The real secret behind this amp is not the overdrive channel. The overdrive channel is very good, but the best way to get this amp to really scream is to drive or push the clean channel. I recomend the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster. Turn the Booster up and the amp becomes something totally different. It's incredibly sensative. A soft strum will give you a great bright clean tone, and an agressive pick will give you gritty transparent blues. A great amp, and worth every penny.
